CONVIVIALITY IN PARIS

The idea of CONVIVIUM is spreading more and more widely! Irena Chwrilska from the University of Gdańsk and Rick Dolpijn from the University of Utrecht are visiting scholars at Université de Paris 1 Panthéon Sonbonne.

Much in line with the CONVIVIUM project, they gave some talks on foodscapes feralisation and the food landscapes of Rottredam and Gdańsk. Together with Jenny Herman, a postdoctoral researcher at the EIREST lab at the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, they discussed the shaping of the environment by more-than-human beings, the impact of food and culinary systems on the future of our environment – as well as the meaning and etymology of the word “table”.
