The first day of the CONVIVIUM Meeting in Gdańsk was also dedicated to familiarizing our guests with the city’s landscape. We visited the Gdańsk Shipyard, where a guide showed us around the birthplace of Solidarity, a movement that is one of the best examples of community and cooperation in the modern world. We heard about the role of women in the shipyard and the importance of their participation in the events surrounding the shipyard workers’ strike. We also discussed the shipyard canteen and employee dining habits.

We concluded the evening with dinner at Dust. Kitchen restaurant and long conversations over delicious food that exemplified an innovative approach to traditional Polish dishes.
