FEBRUARY FIELDWORK IN LOFOTEN

The first week of February marks the start of a new chapter of hands-on work in Lofoten with the Norwegian team.

This time, we’re diving deeper into the connections between the Hybrid Forum, Utopia Workshop, and the Surplus Table—building on insights from our first test last summer. The upcoming pilot in Napp is carefully planned and will give us the space to explore, refine, and fine-tune these links in practice.

After Napp, the team continues on to Svolvær to take part in the Lofoten Conference. Here, we’ll explore how the work we’re developing in CONVIVIUM resonates with the conference theme:
“Sustainability and preparedness – two sides of the same coin.” This will be carried out through a dedicated workshop within the program entitled: “Roots and Pathways: Culinary Traditions as a Form of Resilience.”

We’re excited to test ideas, share experiences, and see how local experimentation connects to broader conversations about resilient, sustainable and convivial futures.
