Klaas Kuitenbrouwer is senior researcher, in the field of digital culture at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, and teacher of media theory at the Rietveld Academy. He occasionally publishes essays and articles.

He works as researcher, educator, writer, curator and organizer of interdisciplinary conference programs, exhibitions, courses and curricula for students and professionals in various cross sections of media, technology, ecology and culture. A consistent thematic element in his work is the intersection of heterogeneous (technological, artistic, legal, scientific, and other-than- human knowledge practices
