Food is a constant and necessary element of our everyday life – so common and obvious that we are usually unaware of its deep and complex meaning. Food is, after all, part of “living heritage” that co-creates identity of every culture and strengthens our connection with tradition. At the same time food culture very clearly reflects changes taking place in societies. Changes worth noticing, recognizing and joining in with.

CONVIVIUM: NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS SOLUTIONS IN FOOD, LIVING HERITAGE, AND CONVIVIALITY is an interdisciplinary and intersectorial coalition of public and private European partners whose main objective is to bring a cultural dimension to the European Green Deal through the leveraging of the material, semiotic, and symbolic power of food.
