Developed as part of the European project 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗨𝗠, the Pavilhão na Vinha competition invited architecture students from the Universidade de Coimbra to design a small-scale structure bridging heritage, innovation, and landscape within a living vineyard.

The jury panel, comprising João Mendes Ribeiro, Dirk Niepoort, Jenny Herman, Maria Gravari-Barbas, and Sérgio Rebelo, has officially selected the 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, out of many creative proposals exploring architecture as a mediator between culture and environment. The jury highlighted the following projects:

𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: 𝗙á𝗯𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗶𝗱𝗮, 𝗕á𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼.

The subtle modular shelter was designed with exceptional versatility. The structure effortlessly adapts to different moments: from on-site wine tastings and shaded meal breaks to convivial gatherings during harvest season. The balance between wooden slatted panels, roof overhangs, and integrated vegetation ensures shading and thermal comfort.

Congratulations to the winning team for their work connecting tradition, production, and spatial experience. This vision will become a reality, with construction scheduled for 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳.

The jury also highlights the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗨𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗘 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 from Gustavo de Figueiredo Lourenço, Joana Mendes Coelho, Raquel Sofia Silvestre dos Santos, Fábio Daniel dos Santos Fontes; and 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀: 𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝗲 𝘂𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗼, developed by João Martim Santos Fernandes and Gonçalo Queirós.
